The products are offered free to consumers. Retailers are charged an X amount for every time their product is displayed. The higher up the product is displayed the more the retailer will be charged.
The service does not require that a consumer register, but should they decide to register, the system can save previous search queries (Questions answered) and provide them with alerts (mobile or via email) about specials or new products that match their specifications, until they have found a product (Where after a notification can be removed).
The service is limited in that it might exclude certain retailers, if they decide not to buy in to the service, limiting the scope of products consumers can choose from. Retainers to target include; Incredible connection, Hi-Fi Corporation, Makro, Game, Dion Wired, Takealot.com (Kalahari.com).
The range of products and services are endless, but focus will be on products that requires many trade-offs and which is difficult for consumers to differentiate on (Example electronics). Once the service has proven itself, the product range can be expanded to other products and services including insurance, medical aid and travel & accommodation.
The brand will be built on the philosophy of convenience and simplicity and is embodied in the name of the company (Service) namely easybuy.co.za and the slogan; ‘Make life simple’
The service cannot be patented, but relies on entering and penetrating the market first by building a brand synonymous with the concept before competition enter the market and replicate the service.
